        Application Guide

Kenya has three types of visa application processes for Indian nationals:

        Visa on Arrival:

VOA is available if you are entering Kenya through its international airports. Once you reach the airport, please present the documents as enlisted on our checklist to the immigration officer present there. If your forms are in order and acceptable, the VOA will be stamped on your passport.

        E-visa Application:

Kenya has also introduced its electronic visa application - E-visa facility. For this purpose, you need to apply for e-Visa via this dedicated portal.  Once you visit this page, you should register as a visitor, and complete your verification through the confirmation email. At this point, you will be asked to upload a digital passport photo of maximum size - 500 pixel by 500 pixel.

Once logged in, select Department of Immigration Services and click on Submit Application. Now, you can select Kenyan visa, choose the visa category and read the enlisted instructions. Complete the application form - please note that incomplete applications will be rejected and you will lose your processing fees. You will need a scan of the main page of your passport (with your name, date of birth and other information). Now, you shall again need to re-upload your passport photo. Pay using your Visa card, MasterCard or other debit card- Visa will cost USD 50.

Await your approval which will be sent to you by email. This will take 2 to 3 days to process so ensure that you plan in advance.

Print a copy of your visa to present to the immigration officer at your point of entry into Kenya.

The E-Visa will be valid for 90 days from the date of approval and not from the date of arrival in Kenya. The traveler should therefore ensure that the visa will still be valid at the time of travel.

        Paper-based Visa Application:

If you are not comfortable with online application, you can go for the paper based procedure through the Kenyan embassy in India. For this, you shall required to completely fill and sign the visa application form. After that attach all the supporting documents as outlined in our checklist. Ensure your application is complete.

Post this, visit the visa center during the working hours and them to the officer in charge and wait for your visa approval.

The processing time after submission normally takes 24 hours, irrespective of Saturdays, Sundays, and other Public Holidays.
